ชอบแต่งเพลงที่สุดในโลก ลูกชายของพ่อและแม่ที่เป็นคนบ้านนอกเข้ากรุง เกิดและโตมาในกรุงเทพ ประเทศไทย ดินแดนแห่งความหลากหลาย เหลื่อมล้ำ งดงาม และงมงาย นิยามเพลงของตัวเองว่า “หลานทุ่ง” — บทเพลงอันเป็นรุ่นถัดมาจากลูกทุ่ง ผสมผสานสำเนียงลูกทุ่งเข้ากับสารพัดความเป็นไปได้ เชื่อว่าบ้านเราจะไปได้ไกล ถ้าเราช่วยกันสกัดเอาคุณค่าที่แท้จริงมาสร้างสรรค์สิ่งใหม่ๆ หวังว่าอำนาจแห่งบทเพลงจะปลุกประโลมจิตใจ เรียกรอยยิ้ม น้ำตา และสร้างโลกที่ดีกว่านี้ อยากใช้ลมหายใจที่เหลือสร้างสรรค์ผลงานที่ดี แล้วพอตายลง ขอให้ผลงานอยู่ต่อไปแทนตัวเอง

Mangkham loves writing songs more than anything in the world. The son of parents who came from the countryside to the city, born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand — a land of diversity and inequality, of beauty and blind faith. He calls his music “Lan Thung”: the next generation of Luk Thung, blending its voice with every possibility. He believes this country can go far if we help one another distill its true values into something new. He hopes the power of song can stir hearts, draw out smiles and tears, and build a better world — to spend his remaining breath making good work, so that when he is gone, the work lives on in his place.
